Ze's Almanac

I was asked to make an almanac. Only later did I discover that it would recreate the life of one of the most complete artists I have ever seen, represented throughout the pages and pages of his history.

The publication was a tribute paid to the artist for the 62nd Salão de Abril, an event that annually brings together several contemporary Brazilian and foreign artists in Fortaleza. It displayed the life trajectory of Zé Tarcísio, his childhood and youth, his professional trajectory through cinema, theater and television and in the Fine Arts, where he became truly recognized.

Spending time with the artist was imperative to the book. Listening and trying to keep up with his fast, creative and surprising mental process was a great challenge, but also very rewarding. Aline Albuquerque and Nubia Agustinha were the researchers and writers of the book. Illustrations are from the artist Mario Sanders. The pagination of the book was made with the participation of the designer Rubio Lima. The publication is a Lumiar Communication and Consulting project for the 62nd Salão de Abril of Contemporary Art.
